3D-printed airless tires by Michelin

Michelin used 3D printing technology to create an airless tire. 3D printing allows the tire’s treads to be customized to meet the needs of a specific vehicle and Michelin minimized the amount of rubber used in the tire to enhance its sustainability.

Glacier Skywalk, Canada

The Glacier Skywalk is the hottest new nature and learning attraction along Alberta’s Icefields Parkway in Canada. It’s built into native bedrock with steel, glass and wood. Open May through October, this one-hour experience begins at the Columbia Icefield Discovery Centre. It is designed as an extension of surrounding landscape. Log lamps by Duncan Meerding

Australian furniture and light designer Duncan Meerding creates amazing lighting by use the naturally occuring cracks in logs. He has inserted warm yellow LEDs, that illuminate each piece of wood. Duncan Meeriding is blind and that why he is fascinated by unusual light sources, refering to his alternative sensory world.
